JSL Winter 2013/14 Champions League (U6s-U9s)
JSL would like to invite your club/team to be a
part of an exciting indoor short season 5 a side mini soccer league for the age
groups of U6s, 7s, 8s & 9s.
With the worst of the winter weather still to come, which will
inevitably result in more postponements / very poor training & playing
conditions at best, JSL are pleased to invite the youngest teams (U6s - U9s)
into a six week long FA Charter Standard indoor mini soccer Champions League
themed competition commencing on Sunday 1st December from Soccer Village,
Milnrow (2 mins from J21, M62).
Here are a few bullet points, which outline some of the benefits that Junior Soccer League (JSL) offers your team:
• Our league offers U6s-9s teams/development squads the chance to play in a safe & secure environment, playing high tempo, non-stop action games against other club teams.
o At this age excitement is high, there are lots of children wanting to play..... We want to give them the opportunity, give them the best experience in the best surroundings & help keep them in the game for many years to come.
• Our season will run over a six week period. Each team will play 2 x 24 min games (2 x 12 min periods) per match day. (Excluding the final week which will be one game of 40 minutes)
o We believe there are many benefits to operating “short seasons" with short game periods. Your team will be excited and motivated every week by the high tempo, non-stop action our league competition provides. The two 2x12 min period game format provides a coach the opportunity to include all squad members / rotate positions to fast track a child's development.
• Top Quality Indoor 3G Pitch Facilities.
o Do 6-9 year old children really benefit from playing on poor quality grass surfaces, especially outside of the summer months when pitches can often make passing or running with the ball impossible? We don’t think so. Nor can they enjoy playing in wet, cold/freezing conditions, which is what is typically expected of them. Even if they are one of a privileged few teams that play on an artificial surface, is it really in their best interests to be playing outdoors during Autumn/Winter months?.. Maybe not.
The central venue for our league boasts indoor 3G pitches in a showcase arena with grandstand spectator seating for 300, to create the ultimate five-a-side football facility. We can effortlessly adapt to the seasonal weather conditions ensuring the perfect playing environment to maximise skill development & enjoyment of the children.
Parents and spectators are also catered for as they can choose to watch the action from the grandstand seating area, pitch side or from the comforts of the bar/cafe area, which overlooks the playing areas.
• League Administration.
o The league will be administered through The FA’s Full Time system. This system offers a central information point for the league & member teams detailing fixtures, management of player registration and referee appointments, as well as other communication benefits.
• Low Entry / Weekly Match Fees.
o We are a non-profit FA Charter Standard League and want to play our part in keeping the cost of children playing football to a minimum, whilst ensuring that we provide a quality environment and league structure in which children can flourish. Based on a squad containing two substitutes, the weekly match/referee fees equate to less than £3/child.
• Simple Online Registration.
o You can reserve your team’s place easily with a simple, uncomplicated online registration process. Just visit our League website, which can be found at www.juniorsoccerleague.net. The team registration form will take less than a minute to fill in and your team’s place will be reserved.
• Start Date / Timings.
o Timings are approximate at this stage and will be confirmed once divisions are finalised. As a guideline match times will be between 9.00am-1.00pm. U6s will play between 9-10am, U7s – 10-11am, U8s -11am-12pm, U9s – 12-1pm.

Match days: Sundays (9 am – 1pm) – (U6s 9-10am) (U7s 10-11am) (U8s 11am-12pm) (U9s 12-1pm)
Playing Time: 2 x 24 min games (2 games/team each week)
Costs: Team Registration Fee: £20 (One off cost)
Match Fees: £20 per team per week
Payable in two installments of £60. First payment by 1st Dec. Second payment by 12th Jan.
Group Eligibility: (As per 2013/2014 season)
